I'm Holly. I'm a certified life coach, the creator of The Walking Meditation Method and the mother of two boys — both born naturally.
My first birth was calm, quick and exactly what I had prepared for. My second was harder — more intense, more isolating, and followed by postpartum depression during COVID with almost no support.
The difference between those two experiences wasn't luck. It was what I had built inside myself before I walked into the room. I built The Prepared Mother because every woman deserves what I had the first time — the confidence, the trust, the internal preparation that no hospital can give you.
Each walk builds on the last. Walking creates bilateral stimulation that processes emotion and reduces the neurological grip of fear. Deep nasal breathing while walking delivers more oxygen to your baby, reduces cortisol and activates the parasympathetic nervous system.
Your heart generates an electromagnetic field that extends several feet beyond your body and has been in constant communication with your baby since the beginning of this pregnancy. When you practice these walks, you are transmitting a signal to your baby that will live in their nervous system long after they have forgotten the womb.
